The Shower Doctor faced the task of launching a new website in a highly competitive market, as well as needing to ensure that they hit the ground running. Therefore they required a strong, well researched PPC campaign in order to drive qualified traffic to maximise sales, as well as putting together a tactically sound SEO campaign to gain high rankings.
Having completed a full assessment of both the existing PPC account and the necessary requirements for SEO, we went about the task of discovering the right channels to approach and the best way to maximize the return on their investment.
The first step was to look at how to reduce the cost of their current paid search and then how to increase the return, not only towards maximising clicks and conversions, but ultimately reducing the cost per conversion as well.
After completely restructuring the PPC campaign, detailed structural and content recommendations were made for the website to help improve the SEO activity. In addition to this we employed a highly focused off page campaign integrating link building and high level Press Releases.
After only 3 months work the fantastic results were already being seen. The Shower Doctor now ranks on page 1 of Google.co.uk for a number of high volume keywords, resulting in a gradual month on month increase of organic traffic. To date the SEO campaign has delivered over 20,000 organic visits to the site, in June 2010 we reported an 80% increase in visitors from the initial month of the campaign.
The new PPC campaign also proved a great success, increasing the conversion rate by 35% and reducing the cost per conversion by 45%.
