Posh and Becks watch out, there is a new power couple on the horizon. Spotify and Facebook have joined forces to help user find more music than ever before, you can now see what your friends are listening to, and press play to listen to them instantly. This blog is going to show you how!

Within Facebook, you can see how many of your friends are using Spotify…


And, what they are listening to…

The Real-Time Ticker always you to keep up to date with what your friends are listening to on Spotify. It also allows you to broadcast songs, albums and radio stations you have listened to, with your nearest and dearest. You can also share, edit and update public playlists with your Facebook friends.



Spotify features

You can now log into Spotify using either your Spotify logins or Facebook logins – since the integration, Spotify have removed the invite-only barrier, which allows those with just a Facebook account to enjoy limited access to music via Spotify.

Within the Spotify interface, you’ll be able to see a brand new Music Dashboard on the left hand side. Here you be able to view your community of Facebook friends that have linked with Spotify, you’ll be able to see your friends’ top artists, top tracks and their recent playlists.

If you have embarrassing taste in music that you don’t want to share with the whole world, then fear not – go to; Applications > Spotify > App Privacy > Only Me.

As social media grows, partnerships like Spotify + Facebook allow the masses to merge different aspects of their social life and their personal life. So the next time you’re struggling to find new music, just follow what you’re mates are doing.

Spotify’s integration with Facebook has driven massive growth for the music provider. They have also recently launched their services to the US successfully which basically means advertisers need to start taking Spotify seriously and consider using this new channel to grow branding and direct return.
